The G V Stewart is proud to announce that it has received a generous grant from Hillsborough County, aimed at empowering young individuals to pursue careers in firefighting. This funding will be instrumental in locating, mentoring, and training aspiring firefighters, creating pathways for success in a profession that is both noble and vital to community safety.
At the heart of this initiative is a strong emphasis on mentorship. The foundation believes that experienced firefighters can provide invaluable guidance and support to these young mentees, them navigate their journey in this challenging. By forging strong mentor-mentee relationships, the aims to instill confidence and resilience in the next generation of firefighters, ensuring they are well-prepared for future roles.
